28 DAYS & COUNTING…
IN 28 days I will be heading out with my co-leader and 11 students to Gulu, Uganda. We will spend two months working in this city & villages. We will be preaching the Gospel and serving the people of Uganda in many forms. We believe God that we will see miracles, salvation, and healings! Please pray for our team’s safety, unity, and insight into the best way to share love with the people of Uganda. Pray especially for the people we will meet who’ve just come out of warfare or the LRA (Lord’s Resistance Army).
Also, we are 7 weeks into lecture phase of this DTS and it is so awesome to see God moving in my students lives. This week I have had 4 students share with me vision for their future and where God is leading them. Last week, the students were on mini-outreach in Spokane, Washington and they ministered to many homeless people, engaged in street evangelism (listening to and praying for strangers they met), and they learned to work in teams well.
God is really challenging me in my own vision and evangelism as well. I not only get to pour into my students and see them grow, but I get to minister to the lost right alongside them. This school I Have been challenged by God to teach in lectures on worship for the first time, preach on the streets publicly (here at home), and to continue pursuing God’s long-term call to missions and discipeling women. It’s really crazy to see God bring these things all together and to be so challenged by them. I really, truly have to rely on Him daily for insight, strength and provision. But is is such a privilege to see God change young people’s lives and set people free overseas. It’s hard at times when I feel far from home, finances are hard, or the transition of travel brings weariness. But I have never understood more how faithful God is or what it means to ABIDE IN HIM (John 15). God keeps reminding me that it’s ‘Worth it All,” which happens to be our school theme.
